November 2022 Meeting Review

The Saskatoon MQG met on November 27th for a sew day and a virtual trunk show by Cheryl Arkison. This was hosted at Home Inn & Suites. We all loved Cheryl’s presentation. One of the huge takeaways was that she helped us to widen our definition of improv. Definitely a great presentation where we all gained a deeper perspective on our approaches to quilting (i.e. our love language)!

Next meeting is January 22nd at Home Inn & Suites. It will be time to renew your annual membership for $60. We voted to do travelling quilts and this will start in January. So far, Donna, Margaret, Claire, Barbara, Linda, Pam and Aileen have signed up. If anyone else is interested, please email saskatoonmqg@gmail.com. Happy holidays and looking forward to seeing everyone in 2023!

October 2022 Meeting Review

The Saskatoon MQG met on October 23rd for a sew day. This was hosted at Home Inn & Suites. Thank you so much to Sherry for leading the meeting as the rest of the Executive disappeared throughout the week. We so wanted to be there but work and health prevented it. She was a super star as she managed to come up with a new education topic, register 4 new members, took photos, and handled the hotel. We are so fortunate to have her as part of our guild! These quilts make me feel like Fall is here, and they add to the excitement of Halloween.

Next meeting is November 27th at Queen’s Retreat and Renewal Centre at 601 Taylor Street W., Conference Room A in the basement. There will be a trunk show that is free to attend for members. Remember there is still time to sign up for Cheryl Arkison’s workshops on November 26th and 27th. Email bev.murray.drew@gmail.com for the form. There should be a few spots still available for non-members.
