September 2022 Meeting Review

The Saskatoon MQG met on September 25th for a sew day. This was hosted at Home Inn & Suites. There were many laughs at the meeting, and this was followed by shopping at the members garage sale. We decided that we will be doing travelling quilts again in 2023. So please come to the October meeting with past quilts to help explain this to new members. And if super keen, prepare a demo box and block that you would like made.

Next meeting is October 23th at Home Inn & Suites and will be another sew day. Donna will be presenting the “Geology of Quilting” as the education topic.

Quilts in the Park 2022 Review

The Saskatoon Modern Quilt Guild risked the weather and ended up with another wonderful Quilts in the Park event on Sunday, August 28, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Buena Vista Park (1300 block of Melrose Avenue). Please check out some of this eye candy.

Stay tuned for the email to RSVP to our Fall events. We are hosting sew days in September, October and November. Be sure to start gathering your sewing related items that you would like to sell in September. Let’s start the Fall by restocking and renewing our shelves. Then for October, the education topic is the “Geology of Quilting”. In November, Anne is planning to explain Etsy and will chat about photographing quilts. The dates are September 25th, October 23rd and November 27th.
