The Saskatoon Modern Quilt Guild hosted another wonderful Quilts in the Park event on Sunday, August 24, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. in Buena Vista Park. A total of 117 quilts were displayed, with at least 15 members participating. The weather could not have been better. It was warm but not too hot, with a light breeze. A special touch this year was that Nancy’s husband, Joe, strolled through the park playing guitar, adding a lovely, laid-back soundtrack to the afternoon. Thank you to those that provided photos of this beautiful day of quilts, community, and creativity.

The Saskatoon MQG is having our 6th annual quilts in the park on August 24. Weather permitting, you can expect a casual display of modern-inspired quilts and other creations by members. It is a free event, and you can come and go as you please. Please note that we will be returning to Buena Vista Park. We will be setting up near Melrose Avenue and 5th Street East.
