Our November event includes both a Sew Day and Regular Meeting at Home Inn and Suites (253 Willis Crescent). Come and Go from 9 am to 8 pm (free for members) with a Lunch Break at 12 pm and Meeting from 2 to 4 pm. We regret that we didn’t have enough registrations for workshops but hopefully we are just postponing this to a less busy time of year.

Please RSVP for the sew day via saskatoonmqg@gmail.com and let us know if you are able to bring an iron, ironing board, or cutting mat to share. Members that are only able to attend the meeting should arrive by 2 p.m. Try to remember to bring your name tags! For those that are new, we encourage our members to wear their own stitched name tags.

Education Topic

Chery Arkison will stream in to the big screen at 2:00 to deliver a trunk show as part of our meeting. This will be free for members. If you want to take in the trunk show, you can join us in person or you can sign in from home.

• Elections – Bev will be stepping down as treasurer. Please do not avoid the meeting because you are afraid of being put on the spot for an Executive role. We are all willing to continue and we have a volunteer for the treasurer role. Though we welcome a change in leadership if anyone wants to take on a role!

Our guild will be hosting Cheryl Arkison on November 26th and 27th and the registration form was emailed. This is open to members only to apply until October 26th. That way if anyone has questions, they can ask at our meeting on October 23rd. After October 26th, anyone can apply to attend if there are still spots available. This event will be held at Queen’s House Retreat and Renewal Centre at 601 Taylor Street W, Conference Room A in the basement. There is lots of parking at Queen’s House including on the street. Elevator available to move sewing equipment downstairs. 

On November 27th, there will be a trunk show during the 2 hour meeting slot, 2 to 4. It is $15 for non-members, and free for members. So don’t worry if you can’t make the workshop(s) as you are still included for the regular meeting slot!
