Book/Blog/Bolt – Show & Tell
Linda showed us a wall hanging. It is a quilt as you go style project with needle turn applique flowers that have sequin details:
Linda also showed us a wedding gift she made. The centre is a Laurel Burch panel:
Sherry showed us what she made with her travelling quilt blocks. She is going to use it as a tablecloth, it is 3 layers of cotton – she used a layer of plain cotton fabric instead of traditional batting:
Barb brought a quilt she made for a relative that was on the Humboldt Broncos bus. She did the free-motion quilting on her domestic machine:
Barb showed us some fat quarters featuring low volume that she purchased at Along Came Quilting in Calgary (by the Chinook Mall):
Sherry showed us some shibori fabric that she purchased from a quilt shop in Beiseker (near Drumheller):
Amy showed us a quilt she is currently longarm quilting. It features Wombat paper piecing patterns which are free online. She improv pieced the gray background and the back of the quilt is Free Fall by Tula Pink:
Donna showed us a Patchwork board game that is quilting themed:
Diane brought a strip quilt top and was looking for ideas on how to quilt it:
Jana brought a fabriculous pattern to show:
She got some canvas and waxed canvas from the same store:
Block Lotto
May’s Block Lotto theme was Improv!
Linda was the lucky winner this month.
Someone (forgive me as I forgot to write down who it was) brought an improv book for us to check out:
