The Saskatoon MQG met at Home Inn & Suites on October 25, 2026. We enjoyed a fantastic Zoom presentation by Emile Trahan (@mili.tra) on improvisational curve piecing with scraps. As Emile reminded us, the only danger in trying it is that you might not like what you create. However, it’s only fabric and with practice, our skills continue to evolve. We highly recommend her presentation to any quilting group.

The latest charity quilt completed by members of our guild is shown below. It will be donated to the John Dolan School raffle.

We encourage anyone interested in serving on the executive to contact Laura. Elections will be held in November. Please don’t hesitate to attend the meeting. We already have members willing to fill the positions this year, but they would be happy to share the workload and welcome new volunteers. The remaining meeting dates for the 2026-2027 season are: November 22, December 13, January 24, February 28, March 13-14 (Guild Retreat), April 25 and May 23.

Below are some of the amazing pumpkin creations and other works of art created by our talented members. Happy Halloween! 🎃See you in November!
