Guild Future
Show & Tell
Val brought in a bunch of great quilts to show us. This is a simple ivory jellyroll race / 1600″ quilt in ivories. She uses it under her thinner quilts on beds in the winter.:
She finished the top of a quilt containing bee blocks from a previous guild bee:
A triangle quilt using a 60 degree ruler:
And finally, a quilt that used 2 1/2″ strips:
Amy showed us a quilt she made for her son. She bought the 3D maze quilt pattern on etsy and he picked the colours.
Dyanne showed us a jellyroll rug she made:
Donna took an inexpensive fleece lap blanket and added a quilted backing made of denim and old jeans:
Barb brought in the finished quilt that she made using her block lotto Urban Chicken blocks:
This month’s block lotto participated with the Canadian Modern Quilt Guild block lotto “Wedges As Topography”. Our guild decided to make it a modern fall landscape theme.:
Reminder: Christmas Sewcial
The Christmas Sewcial is Sunday December 2nd. The normal meeting room is booked from 8am-8pm and you are welcome to come and go during this time. If you can’t make it to sew you can still bring a lunch and have a visit with everyone at 12pm. We won’t be having a meeting or Show&Tell that day.
Non-members are also welcome to sew for a $10 charge (as long as there is room). Please contact us if you’re interested or planning to come.
