April (but in May) 2022 Meeting

The next meeting is May 1st.

We have a Sew Day and Regular Meeting at Home Inn and Suites (253 Willis Crescent). Come and Go from 9 am to 8 pm (free for members) with a lunch break at 12 pm and meeting from 2 to 4 pm.

Please RSVP for the sew day to Sherry (smbirnie@gmail.com) and let her know if you are able to bring an iron, ironing board, or cutting mat to share. Members that are only able to attend the meeting are asked to RSVP to smbirnie@gmail.com too and should arrive by 2 p.m. Try to remember to bring your name tags! For those that are new, we encourage our members to wear their own stitched name tags.

For those sewing, please consider coming prepared to practice free motion sewing. Bev is going to share her techniques as the education topic. If you bring a prepared quilt sandwich, you can actually try out some of the techniques yourself.

March 2022 Retreat

Our guild is hosting a quilt retreat at Queen’s House of Retreats from March 25-27, 2022. This will replace our monthly meeting. This is the perfect opportunity to get creative and escape the distractions at home. You can sew unfinished objects or start something new. You will be guaranteed to have lots of laughs, fun, games and good food. There will be a Show and Tell Saturday evening. The retreat will run from Friday at 1:00 pm to Sunday at 5:00 pm. There are only a few spots remaining. If interested in attending, please reach out to bev.murray.drew@gmail.com.
