Our guild is hosting a quilt retreat at Queen’s House of Retreats from March 25-27, 2022. This will replace our monthly meeting. This is the perfect opportunity to get creative and escape the distractions at home. You can sew unfinished objects or start something new. You will be guaranteed to have lots of laughs, fun, games and good food. There will be a Show and Tell Saturday evening. The retreat will run from Friday at 1:00 pm to Sunday at 5:00 pm. There are only a few spots remaining. If interested in attending, please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In consideration of the COVID-19 virus, we have cancelled our meeting for next Sunday, March 22nd. We are acting out of a sense of responsibility to our members and our greater community. Be prepared on April 25th for our in-person sew day at Stonebridge Home Inn and Suites. But we are thinking ahead in case this continues for another month.
If April doesn’t happen too, we are planning for an instagram SEW-tacular day where we share our current sewing projects. Also, Bev is dreaming up a wonderful improv triangles challenge. So happy sewing in preparation for show-and-tell in April! And if you need inspiration, remember the on-line resources included with your membership at: https://www.themodernquiltguild.com/ . We suggest to stay a step ahead of Bev and search for something triangular this month!
In the meantime, share what your sewing and keep connected on Instagram using the hashtags #saskatoonmqg or #covidquiltssaskatoonmqg
Please wash your hands, stay well, and we hope to see you in person or virtually soon! Let’s make sure we support one another as this situation continues to evolve.
